Mini Cooper S
The
BMW re-designed Mini Cooper S is one of the finest examples from BMW of their
commitment to an engineering philosophy founded upon maximizing the satisfaction
of the driving enthusiast. Much like the performance qualities found in BMW's
legendary M3 and M5, the Mini Cooper S offers the driving enthusiast fantastic
steering response, ultra clear tactile communication via rigid chassis, and
an excellent power to weight ratio for amazing acceleration.
In
spite of BMW's excellent engineering we have been able to find more than one
way to improve upon the Mini's already well bred/developed personality. In
February of 2003 Eurosport and Jim Conforti teamed up and began tuning development
on the Mini Cooper S. Since our focus and specialty at Eurosport is in hardware
development and manufacturing (e.g. we designed and manufacture the Eurosport/Conforti
intakes, OBDII cam system adapters, and first generation round Shark Injector
case) we began development on hardware components that would later be match
tuned to Jim Conforti's software. After careful research we found untapped
potential in the Mini Cooper S, specifically in the intake filter assembly
and supercharger. Likewise Jim Conforti's expert research skills found untapped
performance within the Mini Cooper S engine management software, specifically
in the fuel, spark, and fly-by-wire throttle code. As Jim worked hard cracking
the engine code we started our work on an intake system and overdrive pulley.
After significant tuning and testing work Jim Conforti and Eurosport have
created performance packages that easily outperform the much more expensive
offerings found in the Mini Cooper S aftermarket.

Without question the best value in performance
tuning for your Mini Cooper S is our Shark Injector, and Eurosport overdrive
pulley. These products can be purchased separately or together. We have
seen 177hp at the wheels ~ 204hp at the crankshaft. Please note that
Shark Injector software is offered in both high and low octane fuel
tuning versions. You should order your Shark Injector with an octane
rating that is compatible with the level of octane/quality of fuel available
in your area.

Add the Pulley Puller tool to the package for an additional$75
($99 when purchase separately). Add the pulley
tensioner tool to the package for an additional $55

The Shark Injector for the Mini Cooper S. Optimized
for use with the Eurosport overdrive pulley and Eurosport Intake system
can also be used in conjunction with many of the other offerings from
aftermarket tuners. Though optimized for use with these upgrades it
can also enhance the performance of Mini Cooper S vehicles sans pulley

Supercharger Overdrive Pulley
After careful and detailed research into correct
BMW factory specified belt centerline and supercharger drive shaft tolerances
Eurosport has engineered a self centering collet style overdrive pulley.
Our pulley is the highest quality overdrive pulley on the market featuring
heat treated 17-4 stainless steel collet and class III hardcoat anodized
6061 T6 aluminum pulley complete with Unbrako(R) brand connecting fasteners.
Our high quality overdrive pulley will provide you the customer with
a lifetime of performance satisfaction. With a ~15% reduction in pulley
diameter as compared to the stock supercharger pulley, we provide an
increase of boost from stock of 10.4psi to14.5psi. Don't let the competition
of inferior and heavier pulleys fool you into believing their theories
regarding appropriate material selection. A hard anodized aluminum and
stainless steel pulley is the best combination of materials for this
application and will run flawlessly maintaining a life long super tight
grip to the supercharger shaft while offering superior weight characteristics
when compared to other heavier "same material" steel offerings.
Furthermore, don't let the competition of under-engineered non-self-centering
pulleys lure you into using inaccurate measuring devices or jig tools
to set the pulley at belt centerline. Not only are these jig/measuring
tools a serious headache to use during install they are dangerous to
use because they don't work consistently. It is simply impossible to
center the pulley at actual factory specified belt centerline and hold
that location while tightening a collet-type pulley to the supercharger
shaft. It is also impossible to properly locate the pulley without first
knowing the difficult to obtain factory pulley centerline specifications
and without using a pulley engineered to maintained throughout the installation
process those factory pulley/belt centerline specifications. Though
this upgrade can be used by itself it is highly recommended that it
be combined with the complimenting/matched Jim Conforti Mini Shark Injector

Underdriven Alternator Pulley
This allows for a power increase and more responsive
throttle input! When purchased with the Eurosport overdrive Pulley
it will take up the extra slack created in the serpentine belt by the
smaller diameter supercharger pulley resulting in longer belt life.
